Brenda Anderson, Prison Torture Victim

Today's guest is Brenda Anderson, a woman who spent her young years in Texas correctional facilities after protecting herself against three men who tried to rob her after watching her cash a check. Brenda was openly lesbian at the time and feels that her prosecution for self-defense was based on her gay lifestyle rather than on her shooting one of the men. Brenda Anderson is one of the claimants in "AIMI vs. USA", which will present up to 100 cases of discrimination, brutality and wrongful deaths against mentally ill Americans in International Court in 2015.
