Johnny Strozier spent over 45 years in the Georgia prison system, from age 10 in 1968 until 2013, when he was middle age. He joined us on "Human Rights Demand" to encourage others to keep the faith and their freedom. Call (818) 572-2947 at 9pmEST Saturday nights to speak with Strozier and his guests, including ministers and advocates like himself who assemble to help answer released prisoners' material and informational needs. They often discuss employment opportunities, reentry programs, and subsistence assistance.
Strozier and his guests make a human rights demand to stop mass incarceration, and they recognize that part of the cause is low expections of success by ex-offenders. Strozier says if a man will think right, he will act right, and things will go right in his life. America has a recidivism rate of 67.5 percent, indicating that released prisoners need encouragement and practical help to successfully reenter society. Youths are still going to jail at high rates, and Strozier shares advice and information that can help to redirect them. Tune in, and call to speak on air.
Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has, and it never will. ~Frederick Douglass
