Johnny Strozier spent over 45 years in the Georgia prison system, from age 10 in 1968 until 2013 when he was in his mid-50's. He joined us on "Human Rights Demand" to encourage others to keep the faith and stay out of prison. The call-in number is (347)857-3293 at 9pmEST every Saturday night to speak with Johnny and his guests to make a human rights demand to stop mass incarceration and encourage released prisoners to think right, act right, and then expect their lives to go right.
America has a recidivism rate of 67.5 percent, indicating that released prisoners need encouragement and practical help to successfully reenter society. Youths are still going to jail at astronomical rates, and prisoners are released every day. Johnny offers advice and information that will help redirect them.
Johnny's assembly of guests usually include a former prison chaplain and representatives from churches in and around Atlanta who offer subsistence assistance as well as spiritual advice and the opportunity to unite in fellowship with a body of believers who will encourage continued success for those reentering the community after prison release. This show is based in Christianity, but all people are welcome.
Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has, and it never will. ~Frederick Douglass
