Ever since I was a child, back when the world was still a wonder and each new face, each new place were adventures just waiting to be known, I have always loved Diners. I especially like the throwback vintage Diners from the 50's that you can occasionally find when you look for them.  We have been talking about being real with ourselves, being honest and digging deeper and trying to answer some difficult questions.  So, we have made a virtual Diner where people can come and listen or better yet engage in this with us.  This place simply requires that you be OPEN and authentic.  There are plenty of places out there that will simply tell you what you want to hear and tickle your ears with pleasant lies but here, we only want the true story.  A piece of Artwork may come with a “Certificate of Authenticity”.  Are we, as humans gifted with such a certificate?  The quotes below give an insight into what Authenticity might be and its application.  So, what does "Authenticity" mean?  “Authenticity is not something we have or don’t have.  It’s a practice – a conscious choice of how we want to live.  Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day.  It’s about the choice to show up and be real.  The choice to be honest.  The choice to let our true selves be seen.”— Brené Brown “The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.” — Paulo Coehlo
“To confront a person with his own shadow is to show him his own light.” — Carl G Jung
Tonight’s show is not about passing judgment on the authenticity of an individual.  Rather, it’s about hearing what the Panel and the Chat Room perceive to be the meaning of the word.  Our questions relate to how this understanding might apply to self and the way we treat others.
