Oppression of the Poor: More effects of US trade policy on Latin America

The conquest of Latin American industries by the world powers, led by the US and it's allies continues to have a profound effect on those countries. Immigration to the US is an end result of these policies. What is most astounding is the conquest of these industries started almost 100 years ago but the most recent policies are the most impactful and still create a modern form of oppression that is perpetuated throughout the world. All of the worlds global economy eats and drinks off of the back of Latin American resources.
