Growing up in the hood, and I don't care where it is, can be pretty adventurous! When you think about it, the things that go there sometimes seem unreal and also can serve as life lessons. That is basically what FAIRY TALE'S that you read in school are. Stories that have some sort of moral plot in them. The only difference in those stories and a TALE FROM THE HOOD is that one is fiction and the other is real life. So for tonight's episode I want to hear your TALES FROM YOUR HOOD! I want you to give me the most outrageous story you can remember from your hood that can also serve as a life lesson to people when you tell it. I'm talking about the shit movies are made from. How did it go down and who was involved. Of course you don't have to give names if you don't want to. You don't even have to be involved in the story, but I would like for it to be a TRUE story. Did you learn the lesson form the story, or did you end up doing the same crazy shit you saw someone else go through? That is pretty indicative of people in the hood. We have some TALES FROM THE HOOD that happen in EVERY DAMN HOOD. Can you name a few of them? Side question: Do you think the lessons that you learn from those TALES prepare you better for life? Even with fairy tales you can teach a child a lesson through fiction, but nothing beats real life experience when it comes to teaching. On the job training is always better than the classroom. Should these tales be frowned upon, or embraced by people? It may not be a good bedtime story for your kids at 5, but when they become old enough to venture into the world on their own it could be INVALUABLE INFO! So tonight come with your TALE FROM THE HOOD, an we will decipher what lessons can be learned from each one!
