I feel like I been shortchanged. In fact I know I have and so have a few million other black people. I'm talking about the big payback, the ultimate debt that is owed to people who's ancestors where slaves. I am willing to bet that if you are not black that you probably don't agrees with this assessment, and some black people don't agree with it either. Its the same ones who think programs like food stamps and public housing are not good to have around. When you look at it, its a slap in the face to the descendant of slaves that reparations have not been made. When you consider what this country did for the American Indian, Vietnamese, Japanese and even Jews, to expect anything less is bulls**t! Do you know what the worth is of 40 acres of land nowadays? Enough to cash in and start your own business, or pay for a good education, or purchase a moderate home. ALL of which I could use right about now I don't know about you! Consider how much INHERITANCE plays a role in how people have access to funds that make life a lil easier. But let's be realistic, we ain't getting 40 acres and a mule. In fact f**k a mule all together. But here is my question: What do you think, if anything, is owed to descendants of slaves? What would YOU like to get in return for the persecution of your people? What do you think is fair nowadays, since YOU were never a slave yourself? Would this be like a welfare handout to you, people getting something for nothing again? Matter of fact, side question: HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WELFARE and people that's on it? Are you the "people need help" type, or the "if I can work they ass can too" type? Do you get mad when you see people with a grocery cart full of food and then slide the food stamp card and stroll on out, meanwhile you work everyday and have to slide your DEBIT card!? Is welfare a crutch or a big help? Both of these issues will be tackled tonight.
