EPISODE 205 "YOU KNOW YOU FROM YA HOOD IF"

Last week I saw a FB group that read "you know you're from Panama City Fl if...." and I decided to of course check it out. As I read the post I did not remember ANY of the things that people were saying they did growing up, but that was my hometown. Then I noticed the people posting were from there, but they didnt grow up in the HOOD like I did. BIG DIFFERENCE! So I decided to make my own group, same theme, same city, only I SPECIFIED if you grew up in the HOOD in Panama City. The page EXPLODED and had over 1,000 people in it within 2 days. Hundreds of people pouring out memories of back in the day, 3 generations of people talking aout some thig i havent remebered in years. Then I noticed more and more "you know you from here or there" then the "you know you went to this college or that" and more. Its been going on for a week now and of course how could I not bring it up on K-100 RADIO, we get out topics from social sites! So here we are, and every city is a unique experience growing up. Depending on where you are from, your economic status, race and family you can be from the SAME city and have a TOTALLY different experience growing up. But what I want to know for this show is what makes growing up where you from unique, what should everyone that grew up in you area know about. So here are the questions: 1. IN GENERAL WHAT IS IT LIKE GROWING UP IN THE HOOD YOU ARE FROM 2. WHAT MAKES GROWING UP IN YOUR SPECIFIC HOOD UNIQUE? 3. NAME SOME PLACES, OR EVENTS THAT EVERYONE IN YOUR HOOD SHOULD KNOW ABOUT 4. HAS THE WAY OF LIFE CHANGED DRASTICALLY IN YOUR HOOD SINCE YOU GREW UP THERE?
