Samhain, also known as All Hallow's Eve, Hallowe'en, All Saints' Day, All Souls' Day, Last Harvest, Ancestor Night, Feast of the Dead, and Nos Galan Gaeaf is a seasonal Pagan and Neo-Pagan festival which is celebrated as one of the eight holidays on The Wheel of the Year. Samhain marks the Celtic New Year, the end of summer, and the end of the harvest season. It also signals the beginning of winter, and is associated with death. On this day, the ancient Celts believed the veil between the living and the dead was especially thin, which allowed spirits of the dead to visit the living, which gave rise to the modern Halloween holiday. Follow us into the sacred and spooky ceremonies of Samhain.
On the syndicated episodes of The Witch, the Priestess, and the Cauldron, professional witches Phoenix LeFae and Elvyra Love discussed all things Pagan. You can learn about goddess worship, altar tools, seasonal witchcraft rituals, spellcraft, symbolism, and divination.
Tune in on Thursdays at 4pm PT / 7pm ET for new episodes featuring Elvyra Love and Deborah Voith, resuming ordinary scheduling on June 27, 2024.
