The challenges facing our environment are manifold. We face a state government that seems to have no qualms about gutting existing regulations, and fighting any attempt, by the federal government to insist that pollution laws be enforced.

We see the expanding damage from Fukushima met not with a serious rethinking of nuclear power but an unprecedented acquiessence and now the lifting of the thirty year moratorium on Nuclear Plant building. Florida's toothless public service commission actually agreed to let the Electric Power Companies bill Floridians to expand nuclear power plants whether or not they even built any new facilities.

And the daily insults to the food supply by unscrupulous food conglomerates and Agribusiness Interests, and now the spectrum of GM foods unleashed across the globe.
