The Challenging Legacy of Black Marriage In America

We oftentimes forget to include an appreciable understanding of the negative impact slavery had on the psychological well being of Black families then and now. The lack of appreciation regarding the adverse effect slavery had on Blacks is appalling. There has not enough effort via research to develop an improved understanding of how negative the lack of respect for Black men and Black had then and now to Black marriages and Black families in America.
