Listen to this edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the unfolding political unrest in the Southern African state of Zimbabwe where the opposition NERA Coalition staged riots in the capital of Harare on August 26; the South African Communist Party, COSATU and the ANC are continuing their analysis of the dynamics surrounding the recently-held local governmental elections; there has been another attack by Al-Shabaab against the Somalia government in the Horn of Africa state; and Turkey is proceeding with its intervention in neighboring Syria against the Islamic State and the Kurdish forces of the YPG. In the second hour we listen to a re-broadcast where host Abayomi Azikiwe was heard earlier this week over the Progressive Radio Network discussing the Detroit economic crisis. The final segment presents another chapter in our month-long tribute to Black August.
