Listen to this edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the situation in Aleppo, Syria where the government is reporting breaches by the armed opposition in the evacuation process; the Chinese state has outlined its economic agenda for 2017 with plans to reform aspects of its national planning; the ruling Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front Party (ZAU-PF) is conducting its National People's Conference in Masvingo; and South African Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that he is "ready to rule" inside the country being supported by many as the next leader of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party. In the second hour we will hear an address by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the former president of the First Republic of Ghana, founder of the Convention People's Party (CPP) and the creator of modern Africa on the role of African liberation fighters. In the third hour we will hear the first installment of the historic Massey Lectures delivered by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during November-December 1967. Finally we will hear an address by Ms. Ella Baker, the ideological founder of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), delivered in 1968 in New York City at a gathering of the Southern Conference Education Fund (SCEF).
