Listen to the Sun. March 4, 2018 special edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the escalating ground operations by the Syrian military aimed at haltng the shelling of Damascus by United States backed rebel forces; Zimbabwe President Emmerson Manangagwa has outlined his vision for economic development until 2030; South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has discussed a recently-passed bill to redistribute land inside the country; and Angola is discussing the restructuring of the diamond industry in this key Southern African state. In the second and third hours we will honor Women's History Month. The first segment will be a rebroadcast of a 1968 radio panel on the role of African American women in the struggle for liberation. The final hour will highlight a classic speech by iconic organizer Ella Baker delivered in New York City also in 1968.
