Listen to the Sat. Sept. 15, 2018 edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the recently-held elections for Student Representative Council at Limpopo University in the Republic of South Africa which was won by the South African Students Congress (SASCO); there have been accusations about a possible assassination plot against opposition figures in Congo-Brazzaville; a Rwandan opposition politician has been released from detention inside the country; and the Socialist Party of Nigeria has undergone a leadership change. In the second hour we rebroadcast the Sept. 12 Leid Stories program highlighting host Abayomi Azikiwe. Finally we look at the literary contributions of African Americans with a rare archival radio interview with James Baldwin, Lorraine Hansberry and Langston Hughes.
