Listen to the Sun. Jan. 27, 2019 special edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the announcement that the South African government will nationalize the reserve bank; the Namibia state has expressed its displeasure with public criticism of its policies over social media; African Americans have denounced the lack of representation over CBS news elections reporting; and numerous media outlets in the United States are laying off journalists in order to address the decline in readership and revenue. In the second hour we continue our focus on the upcoming South African national elections through the preparations by the ruling African National Congress (ANC) for the upcoming poll. Finally we look back at the history of the Suez Canal crisis in Egypt during 1956.
