Who is This Mary? part 3

Mary the mother of Jesus is a key player in the plan of God for all people. The God of the universe is a being of such power that we say that God created the Sun. So, when this God had created all the things of te universe, God decided to create an image of himself. This image is the human person. You and I are created by the all powerful God as reflections of God. Really, if you think about it, the human person is a being of awesome power and even more awesome potential. However, when God created the human person, God understood that limits were required. God of himself is self limited. That means that God can control God. However, in the great creation of the human person, God did not want a robot who was limited to the instructions and commands of the Maker. God wanted a being just like himself, like God. The problem was that God also understood that the being created with this much power would also need thae attribte of free will. That means that God would create a being of awesome power and creativivity athat also had the ability to do as it pleased to do. By definition, God is complete creativity and comeplete destruction. God is 100 percent life and one hundred percent death. If this God gave such power to humankind it was a great risk because the person thus created would have the same power of life and death as the Creator. The story of Genesis in the holy Bible is a story of God creating a human person in the likeness, image and power of God- a reflection of God. But the story reveals that the created person did not contol itself, although it had the capability to control itself. Therefore, God was required to introduce death into the creation in order to block the worse that his creature could do which was total annihilation. But God also plan a rescue. God decided that God would not fail and so God planned for the creation of a new Adam through a new Eve. An Adam who because he shared fully in Eve's createdness would bhe successful.
