When temptation comes your way what is one to do? As a child a natural response would be, "I did not do it." Then there are teens that will flat out make others think that they are crazy. An adult on the other hand will say, "it wasn't me." The connection in all three responses is denial, the lack to take responsibility, and blame.
We as humans are creatures of habit. And in an attempt to avoid negative consequences blaming can become a natural response. Individuals often blame their parents, their situation, blame God and when things look really bad the Devil is to blame.
Flip Wilson often said, "The Devil Made Me Do It." Did he really or did you give into temptation? As a Christian many like to blame things on the Devil. We must start to take some responsibility. Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee.
Join Pastor Daniel and I as we discuss the believer and temptation. We really need to learn how to trust God, take responsibility for our behavior and stop blaming the devil and others.
