Black Business Month

The Month of August is National Black Business Month. It was established in 2004 by John William Templeton. It was founded as a way for the United States to recognize and empower black owned businesses. At this time it is said that African Americans make up 14% of the population According to the latest census data there are more than 3 million Black-Owned Businesses in the country.
