Today is Bisexuality Day, and the culmination of Bi Awareness Week ( #BiWeek )! We honor it by talking to one of the foremost educator analysts, author Ritch Savin-Williams. We will be discussing his new book BI: Bisexual, Pansexual, Fluid, and Nonbinary Youth .
Ritch is a developmental psychology professor emeritus of Human Development. He received the Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and has written nine books on adolescent development. The last two, previous to BI are "Mostly straight: Sexual fluidity among men" (Harvard University Press, 2017) and "Becoming Who I Am: Young Men on Being Gay" (Harvard University Press, 2016). He is also a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice specializing in identity, relationship, and family issues among sexual-minority young adults.
In BI: Bisexual, Pansexual, Fluid, and Nonbinary Youth (NYU Press; September 21, 2021), Ritch challenges perceived wisdom about the lives of young people whose sexual orientation is something different than either strictly gay or straight and confused. And we will be talking about that with him today!
With co-host Brody Levesque.
