The fantastic, and hot, indie band Sammy Rae and Friends are with us in the house with their latest release (which we will play during the show)! Their sound is a mélange of Sammy’s influences, rooted in classic rock, folk, and funk and sprinkled with soul and jazz. Complete with a rhythm section, two saxophones, keyboards, and plenty of percussion, Sammy Rae & The Friends have delivered their high-energy, spirited, and unrestrained shows to sold-out audiences in the Northeast and beyond. As they are about to play gigs in LA (November 12 and 13 at The Fonda Theater), they are stopping in to chat with us and play their newest single If It All Goes South !

Launching their first work in 2018, Sammy Rae and Friends considers itself a family. The group flourishes in any spotlight with a combination of all-for-one and one-for-all camaraderie, which produces a listening delight and incredible vocal fireworks. Their shows take pride in being "a shot in the arm of affirmation of individuality." They are safe spaces to feel overwhelmed with love and acceptance. “Friends” in the audience are encouraged to dress how they like, dance how they like, join the party and form person-to-person Friendships.

With co-host Brody Levesque
