All human activity has some basis in social research. Whether it is shopping, working, or family and friend relationships, there is the potential for reseearch in these areas. This show is the first in a series on the topic of "Understanding Research." Our main resource guiding us on this journey is Earl Babbie's "The Practice of Social Research." Dr. Babbie's work is seminal for all entry level social scientists. Our first focus on this topic will be an exploration of the basis of social research and its ethical and political implications.  The segment will be followed by a new feature, "Field Notes," an audio journal offering a regular update on a research project in progress.
