Is the GOP still relevant or is it nothing but a dead elephant?  I think we can put the GOP to bed.  I've been saying this repeatedly but it all boils down to one thiNG.  If you ask what the GOP is all about, you cannot come up with anything that they are for.  Instead, you list the numerous things they are against. That is the essence of the GOP.  They are a party against EVERYTHING.

They're against equal pay 4 equal work when it comes to the wage disparity between men + women.  They'are against a fair + reasonable minimum wage.  And they're certainly against any fair + reasonable low-cost, affordable health care.  The list goes on + on.

At present, there are 3 GOP governors that are either indicted or will soon be so. The one already indicted - GOP Gov. Rick Perry/Texas - was charged w/"abuse of power".  GOP Gov. Chris Christie of N.J. will soon be indicted for his role in the questionable closure of 2 of the 3 lanes of the George Washington Bridge last September for 4-days.  The last GOP gov. facing indictment is Scott Walker/WI. During the recall campaign ag. Walker in 2012 he illegally solicited campaign contributions - personally and directly - from well-heeled, deep-pocketed donors + had them dump it all at the doorstep of Wisconsin Club For Growth, to cover his tracks.  The Club went on to disburse this illegal money out to various right-wing groups that paid for tv and radio ads supporting Walker.

When all is said the Grand Old Party is a party that stands for absolutely nothing but they do stand for using everything at their disposal to work against anything that has the remotest chance of bearing fruit as enlightened legislation that would benefit the vast majority of Americans and that would raise the standard of living for the bottom 50%.
