Margaret Mead made the words, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world," famous.

But to what extent are these words being heeded today in our fast moving society?

And, if not, why not?

In this episode, Anastasia invites Jack and guest, Gloria Livingston, to challenge the assumptions upon which the New Horizons' Small "Zones of Peace" Project has built its community development coaching and training model.

The New Horizons' model takes its name from a quote by Mahatma Gandhi, pertaining to his view that in order for us to build peace, “We do best to begin by carving out territories or zones of peace in our personal relations where violence and deceit won’t be used.”

Anastasia draws on examples of some of the challenges and successes the organization has encountered in its close to forty years of experience, working with individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations.
