OPIOID EPIDEMIC SOLUTIONS

The US has one of the highest rates of Opiod deaths in the world.  And the lead federal agency in the country's war on drugs, the DEA, (Drug Enforcement Administration) recently made attempts to make CBD oil, a derivative of the Hemp plant, a schedule 1 drug.  This law enforcement agency under the U.S. Department of Justice, is assigned the task  to combat drug smuggling and use within the U.S.    With all the scientific research on the benefits of the Hemp plant why is this action being taken?  How would that affect the sale of CBD oil, which is currently sold as a dietary supplement?  Answer to these questions will be addressed as well as some solutions to the Opioid epidemic.
