Lessons from "Cuties" and the fall of the Church

A new Netflix movie "Cuties" has many people cancelling their subscription to Netflix and crying out for this movie to be cancelled.  Many have not even watched the movie but the marketing has triggered emotional responses because it implies that its a movie focusing on pedophilia and sexual exploitation of children.  Can there be any lessons from such a production? Considering the wide range of entertainment choices on Netflix we all can make a personal decision about what we believe will fullfill the needs we have and ignore all the rest.
