“I’m not dead, not really dead. Not like people think.” Such were the words of Mary Lia's beloved 19-year-old daughter Juliette through a medium after she transitioned from cancer. The recently released book Between Two Worlds shares the poignant words of both mother and daughter, beautifully unfolded in three sections: the first, the journals and poems of Juliette in the last 7 years of her life; the second, her mother Mary's reflections and recollections; the third, the story of what a medium had to convey when contacting Juliette.
Mary Lia is a retired chiropractor who lives with her husband and son in New York. She currently works with Special Education students at the Middle School level. An avid runner, Mary has completed two marathons. She is often seen pushing her handicapped Australian Shepherd in a bike stroller. She and her husband are motorcycle enthusiasts who have participated in the legendary Sturgis, SD rally.
