Donald Trump vs. American, himself and his outdated views.
Elements of division, race and culture are prominent as national ideas are played out in the political marketplace. Even if ideas are not substantial, they are grasped upon as a mantra for self identity. A woman today on Twitter attacked me on my statement of Donald Trump's lack of biblical knowledge.
Her description was Guns, Glory and America and Pro Israel. I sent her the verse on Matt 26:52 of he who lives by the sword, will die by the sword.
So many good ideas like Ben Carson's are not examined b/c people are lazy and won't educate themselves. On the other hand, people are looking for that marginalized, hyped candidate with quick fixes. Like the OJ trial - it is those conflictual perceptions heightened by human misrepresentation that people find fascinating but lack true substance and a rudder to guide our nation.
