Future consensus of America; guest from London/European election view

Trump divided the nation and the 48% of people who supported Hillary and other 3rd party candidates are not going away softly.

My premise is that if you as an American are a real Christian, how can you legitimately support a candidate who does not support the poor, the disenfranchised, the persecuted?  Instead, he supports the undesirables of the South who were borne and bred in racism, who never bettered themselves thru education, cannot explore critical thinking in American public policy making and are ready to be at war who threatens their marginalized existence?
