What's with the Steve Bannon Archetypal language about Roman leadership?

“If I can a little riff on Plutarch and Shakespeare,” Bannon said in his remarks regarding McConnell, “up on Capitol Hill, it’s like the Ides of March. The only question – and this is just an analogy or metaphor, or whatever you want to call it – they’re just looking to find out who’s going to be Brutus to your Julius Caesar.”  Basically, Steve Bannon is trying to villify people because of the political polarization this country has experienced for over 10 years.  He no more has control over what people really care about and what magnifies their differences than he does with what Mitch McConnell and major leaders in both the Senate and House maximize.  His Koch brother's technique playing from the sidelines is going to cost any self preservation the Republican party is trying to maintain and will indirectly aid the Democratic Left.  That and more.
