Locals say the Turkish objective is to send all Kurds to Iraq.  Kurds view N. Syria as Western Kurdistan. The main threat says a local is the Jabhat Al Nasra, a Salafist jihadist organization, along with Isis and Al Sham.  He states the Free Syrian Army is not the primary problem in the region.  Asayis is a local Christian minority militia in the region who is determined to preserve their way of life.  The Turks have been notoriously against the PKK, Kurdish party in both Turkey and Northern Syria.  They also hate the YPG, the Kurdish militia.  At one time, Arabs, Christians, Alawites co existed,  Now, every day local farmers are fighting for their dignity while NE Syria falls apart from foreign invasion.  Rojava also contains 60% of Syria's oil.
