Roadside Safety Checks and IL DUI Lawwith Sarah Manning

Sarah Manning knows DUI and roadside safety check law. Sarah assists principal attorney Charles S. Beach with speaking engagements, and promotion of the practice, related to DUI law, when Sarah isn’t busy defending many of the firm’s felony cases in Chicago and the suburbs.

After graduating from law school, Sarah Manning began working for Charles S. Beach.  She has been in court every day since receiving her bar results.    She is the Second Vice President of the Women's Criminal Defense Bar Association; she is active on the Associate Board of the Sergeant Shriver Center on Poverty Law, the national board for Peace Brigades International-USA, and The John Marshall Law School Young Alumni Council.  She received her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and her B.A. in political science and philosophy from Northern Kentucky University.  She is licensed to practice in Illinois. As the holidays approach, law enforcement agencies are stepping up their efforts in enforcement of laws against intoxicated motorists.  It’s important to remember that “buzzed” driving is drunk driving.  In an effort to reduce the number of alcohol related traffic accidents, many municipalities will set up Roadside Safety Checks this holiday season.  This program is designed to give an introduction of what to expect if you find yourself at a Roadside Safety Check, the laws surrounding Roadside Safety Checks, and steps to take if you are arrested as a result of a roadside safety check.  Today we will talk about proceeding through a roadside check and the applicable laws in Illinois, as well as some tips if you are arrested for DUI this holiday season.
