“Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food” is more than just a notion for those living with an autoimmune disease. Camille Rose knows this all too well. Having been diagnosed in 2009 with Multiple Sclerosis, a drastic change to her lifestyle was in order for the newlywed and financier. Exercise, healthy eating, and education soon became her new normal.
After much research for alternative solutions to help with different symptoms she was experiencing, she began practicing the Autoimmune Protocol. This diet aims at reducing inflammation and relieving other symptoms of autoimmune disorders by eliminating inflammatory foods, foods that irritate the gut, and immune stimulants for a minimum of 30 days. The protocol includes a diverse group of nutrient-dense foods, including bone broth. The results were undeniable, but she struggled to find a broth that met the AIP protocol requirements.
