Freedom of the Press . . . If you write something good about a Democrat

Why are the Democrats so secretive with the press? . . . bad polling numbers and they don't want any more truth to come out about them?

Freedom of the press is just that, Freedom of the press!  If someone is that sercretive of who gets to report on their event, they have to be guilty of something.
