Good morning, today on The Meter, we will discuss the terrorist attack in Nice, France. On Bastille Day, French independence a man using a truck as a weapon murdered 84 French civilians and injured more than 200. French security forces shot the man dead. ISIS has hailed the attack on social media. Almost simultaneously a coup in Turkey by the military attempted to seize control of the country over fears of terrorism. Hundreds were killed and thousands are being jailed or detained in the uprising. On the home front Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton had different responses as Trump doubled down on his Muslim refugee ban while Clinton mentioned an intelligence surge. Both presumptive nominees called into the O'Reily Factor. On the Republcian National Convention, Donald Trump announces Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate. Pence has served as Govenmer since 2013 and is known as a staunch conservative.
