Donald Trump amassed 306 Electoral Votes to Hillary Clinton's 232, while Clinton won the national popular vote 48-47%, inciting some to discredit the Electoral College. Elsewhere, Republicans held the House and Senate, and gained 3 additional Governorships tuning the 2016 election into an unexpected Republican landslide. Speaker Paul Ryan seemed jubilant at Trump's win signaling the fued between Trump and establishment Republcians may be over.
