Government reopens with no Wall.

Good morning, today on The Meter we will discuss the temporary Governent Opening. President Trump signed a bill to reopen the government until February 15th. The deal will ensure that federal workers will be paid and receive their back pay, but no Border Wall funding. Some political pundits have credited Speaker Nancy Pelosi with coming out on top in the battle between her and the President. But, with the agreeemnt only effective for 3 weeks, will it be a short lived victory? Another associate of President Trump, 66 year old Roger Stone was arrested in an aggressive early dawn raid by the FBI with CNN present on Thursday morning. The charges include Obstuctuon of Justice and lying to investigators, but no Russian Collusion and no ties to President Trump. However, that didn’t stop liberal broadcasters from once again talking impeachment. Politically motivated arrested or justified? Ultra-conservative columnist and author Ann Coulter, attacked Trump calling him a bigger wimp than George H. W. Bush who broke his no tax pledge from 1988. Is President Trump losing support from his base. Crisis is overflowing in Venezuela as the United States officially recognizes the opposition leader, Juan Guaido as the legitimate President and not the current President Nicolas Madera. Sec. of State Mike Pompeo and Vice President Pence have publically stated the US backs Guaido. Is the US intervening in foreign entanglements again or supporting the Venezuelan people? During the Right to life march this week a teenaged boy from Covington, KY Nick Sandman and an American Indian Nathan Phillips stood face to face while Phillips played his traditional music.
