Good morning, today on The Meter, we will discuss President Trump’s State Of The Union Address. The President chartered his accomplishments, called out socialism, and made the case for a border wall. The chants of USA USA USA was echoed by members of both parties. The President touted the success of Blacks, Hispanics, and women on his watch. Was it his policies or luck? House Speaker was continuously shuffling through papers and adjusting her teeth directly behind the President. Was she uncomfortable or an intentional distraction? In Virginia, scandal has rocked the top 3 office holders. Gov. Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring had photos surface showing them in Blackface and racist garb. Was it all in fun or unacceptable under any circumstances? Also, 2 women have accused Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault, reminiscent of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh last year. However, unlike Kavanaugh’s accuser, Fairfax’s alleged victims Dr. Vanessa Tyson and Meredith Watson have provided descriptive details. Impeachment has been threatened if Fairfax doesn’t resign. Is there a Double Standard? The rising star and de facto leader of the Democrat Party, 28 year old Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, has introduced the Green Deal, mocking the New Deal. The Green Deal will completely eliminate cars, planes, coal, and oil within 10 years. Realistc or insanity? Elizabeth Warren has entered the 2020 race for President in a speech in Lawerance, Massachusetts, a scantuary city. Warren bashed the rich and said she is fo the “little guy”. Will Warren be taken seriously after her lastest Indian controversy and that she’s worth a least $100 Million. Please join th discussion at 10:00 AM. The call in number is 347-308-8933.
