Good morning, today on The Meter, we will discuss President Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom that has been deemed as a huge success for American-British relations. The President responded to the criticism of the London Mayor, Shadiq Khan, saying he should focus on the problems of his city rather than his Administration. President Trump also toured Normandy and spoke elegantly on the D-Day anniversary 75 years after Allied forces crossed the English Channel to invade Nazi occupied France. During an interview with Fox New's Laura Ingraham, the President responded to Speaker Pelosi's words by calling her Nervous Nancy and that Bob Meuller, made a fool of himself. Democrats and liberal pundits immediately attacked the President. Also, President Trump has slapped tariffs on Mexico for their failures in the migrant crisis. Democrats and some Republicans said tariffs could hurt US jobs. But, the President was undeterred and has insisted on his decision. Mexico has agreed to historic changes in securing their Southern border. Also, the Trump Administration will reportedly be sending tens of thousands of refugees back to Mexico to seek asylum in that country, which firis the law. The 2020 Democrat presidential primary continues to swing left as former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper was booed when he said Socialism wasn't the way to beat Trump. Also, Joe Biden reversed his life long support of the Hyde Amendment that prohibits federal funds for abortion un most cases after he was confronted at a campaign stop. In addition, Mayor Peter Buttigieg continued his attack on America's past, as never being great, at a stop in Iowa. He's the first openly gay candidate for President.
