Good morning, today on The Meter we will discuss the latest in the Ukraine scandal as Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, during a press conference, made a reference to withholding funds to Ukraine that Democrats are claiming was a quid pro quo. Mulvaney later seemed to walk back his comments saying he was trying to explain policy to the press? Did Mulvaney reveal a quid pro quo or are the Democrats simply lusting after scandals? Hillary Clinton is back in the news after attacking a fellow Democrat running for President, Tulsi Gabbard, calling her a Russian agent. Clinton claims Russia wants the Representative from Hawaii to run as a 3rd Party. Gabbard has been critical of impeachment but supports the inquiry into the Ukraine phone call. Is Clinton seeking vengeance or preparing to enter the race? Bernie is back! Socialist Bernie Sanders held his first rally since suffering a heart attack last month. He was endorsed by fellow socialist Alexandria Ocasio Cortez where the theme was free stuff! Can Sanders win the democratic nomination? In Syria, sporadic fighting continues admist the cease fire reached by Vice-President Pence earlier this week. Kurdish fighters are expected to pull back today giving NATO member Turkey a 20 mile buffer zone along the 275 mile Syrian-Turkish border. US troops are being redeployed to Western Iraq according to Secretary of Defense Mark Esper. Will the US pullback be a positive development for future US Middle East policy? President Trump has pulled back plans to host next year's G7 Summit from his privately owned resort. Please join the discussion at 10:00 AM. The call in number is 347-308-8933.
