Good morning, today on The Meter, we will discuss the acquittal of President Trump by the United States Senate. The vote had one defection, Mitt Romney (R) Utah voted for conviction on one of the two articles. Mitt Romney was the Republican nominee for president in 2012 and had the then citizen Donald Trump's endorsement. President Trump held what many call a celebration the morning after where the President thanked his legal team and close confidants. Democrats criticized the gathering as gloating. Also, President Trump held his 4th State of the Union Address on Tuesday. The President presented the achievements during the last 3 years while personally acknowledging a 100 year old Tuskegee Airman with a promotion to Brigadier General, a young Black girl with a scholarship, an Iraqi and Afghan war veteran surprising his wife, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Talk Show host and Conservative icon, Rush Limbaugh who was recently diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. Speaker Nancy Pelosi grabbed the headlines by ripping up the State of The Union Speech at the President conclusion. Has there ever been such discourse in the Democrat Party? Finally, the nation's first test was a disaster for the Democrats, the Iowa caucus. The results could not be a accurately counted due to an App malfunction. 3 days later Mayor Pete Buttigieg edged out Senator Bernie Sanders by one tenth of one percent. Former Vice-President Joe Biden came in 4th. As New Hampshire is fast approaching, on Tuesday, will the Democrat field be reestablish a new front runner? Please join the discussion at 10AM.
