Good morning, today on The Meter, we will discuss the latest developments on the Coronavirus. Over 124,000 Americans have been infected with the virus and have 2,000 died. Yesterday, President Trump sent USNS Comfort to New York Harbor. The ship has over 1,000 beds and the capacity to conduct nearly every type of surgery. President Trump already sent the Mercy to Los Angeles. Testing is increasing at a rapid pace to stem the tide of the spread of Coronavirus in the USA. With New York being the hardest hit, with nearly half of all infections, President Trump was rumored to be considering quarantining to entire region of NY, NH, and CT. RI is reportedly stopping cars with New York tags and knocking on doors of residences having New Yorkers. Is this responsibly or unnecessary panic? President Trump also ordered General Motors to produce ventilators to assist in the fight against the spreading virus. The President used the Korean era Defense Production Act on the order to the huge Auto maker. Is President Trump showing leadership during this time or campaigning for reelection? Please join the discussion at 2:00 PM. The call in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential.
