Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the 2 Supreme Court decisions that prevented LGBT people from being fired from their job and the refusal to end DACA. In 2012 Former President Barack Obama gave children who were brought here by their parents illegally protection from deportation via executive order. President Trump's order to end that program was rejected by the court on a technicality. President Trump says he will resubmit to have DACA ended. Should kids that we brought illegally by their parents be given legal status? The Atlanta police officer that shot and killed Rayshard Brooks has been arrested and charged with felony murder and ten other counts. Garrett Rolfe was spared the death penalty but could spend the rest of his life behind bars for the killing of motorist Rayshard Brooks. Brooks was being cuffed for DUI, ran from officers, while turning and firing a taser he stole from the arresting officers before being shot and killed. Dozens of Atlanta police officers are not reporting for duty in protest of the decision. Was the killing justified? John Bolton has released his book saying the President is unfit. President Trump held his first rally in more than 3 months last night in Tulsa, OK. The President touted his record on the pre-Covid 19 economy, criminal justice reform, VA advancement, rebuilding the military, trade, and his response to Covid-19. Also, the President attacked Joe Biden's record, rioting, arson, and looting. Trump doubled down on Law and Order. The crowd size was lower than expected causing criticism from the Left on a lack of enthusiasm. Did the President have a good campaign kick off despite the crowd size or is this an indication that his reelection chances are in trouble? Please join the discussion at 10AM.
