Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover this week's Democrat National Convention. Speakers included Former President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Peter Buttigieg, and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. The Democrats tackled police brutality, inequality, social justice, and Covid-19. Democrat Presidential nominee Joe Biden accepted his party's nomination by citing his 4 crises: The worst pandemic in over 100 years, the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, the most compelling call for racial justice since the 1960s, and the undeniable realities and accelerating threats of climate change. Will the doom and gloom connect with the American people to elect Joe Biden President? Also, former Trump associate Steve Bannon was arrested for embezzling funds from private donations for the Border Wall. President Trump fired Bannon in 2017 and has distanced himself from the scandal. Will the Democrats make this a central theme in their campaigns? The Russia collusion story still goes on as a Senate intelligence report claims Paul Manafort may have shared campaign information with a Russian journalist that may have had connections to Russian government officials. Will this story play a role in the election? Please join the discussion at 10AM. The call-in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential.
