Good morning, today on The Meter we will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The associate justice to the United States Supreme Court passed away Friday night at the age of 87 after an extended battle with cancer. Justice Ginsburg served 27 years on the nation's highest court after being nominated by President Bill Clinton and confirmed by the Senate 96-3. Ginsburg was a champion of gender equality and stamped a permanent legacy on the Supreme Court. Justice Ginsburg was the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court. President Trump responded to the news by saying Justice Ginsburg was an amazing woman that led an amazing life. The Court vacancy establishes a potential nasty battle as President Trump and Sen. Majority leader Mitch McConnell vow to fill the seat before the end of Trump's first term. Should the process begin now or after the election? Also, a Chinese dissent has proclaimed that the Covid-19 virus was created in a lab and didn't result from unsanitary meat processing facilities. Twitter suspended Dr. Li-Meng Yan's account because of her claims. The whistleblower says she has undisputed proof of the Chinese government's intentional production of the virus. If true, how will this effect China in the World community? Also, this week President Trump offically concluded The Abraham Accords normalizing relations between Israel and two Arab States: UAE and Bahrain. The President added that more agreements are to follow. Is this achievement by President Trump going to lead to widespread Mideast peace? Please join the discussion at 10AM.
