Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the collapse of Afghanistan. After 20 years of US involvement in that country following the September 11th terrorist attacks, 3,000 American soldiers lost, $2T spent, the Tailban has entered the capital of Kabul as the US rushes to evacuate the embassy, reminiscent of Siagon in 1975. Joe Biden has publicly and politely asked the Tailban not to attack during the US withdrawal. What went wrong in Afghanistan? Also, another crisis, the southern border of the US remain open and undefended as record numbers of migrants are illegally entering the country. Last month 220,000 entered and are awaiting to be dispersed all over the country. Reports are abound that as many as 1/3 are Covid infected. Biden's own head of the Department of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, was caught on a hot mic saying "this is unsustainable. What can America do to stop this crisis with Biden in office? In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo, Democrat, has resigned amid a dozen sexual assault and harassment allegations. After a year long investigation by the State's Attorney General, Cuomo could stand no more. How will this effect New York and the Democrat Party? Another disaster as stuck Haiti. A 7.2 earthquake rocked the country and this following the assassination of the Haitian president last month. This with the fires in the Balkans, is Climate Change the culprit.
