Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the Republican victories all over America. Here in Virginia, Republicans sweep the top 3 offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General! Also, Republicans pickup 7 House of Delegate seats to win control of the lower chamber of the legislature for the 1st in 4 years. Glenn Youngkin was elected Governor and history was made in the Commonwealth as Winsome Sears was elected as the State's first Black woman to the executive branch and Jason Miyares was elected as the first Hispanic as Attorney General. Virginia Republicans celebrated an issue based election while Democrats blamed their losses on White supremacy. Why did Virginia go solid Red? Moving North to New Jersey, challenger Jack Ciattarelli has not conceded that State's Governor's race eventhough the AP has called the race for Phil Murphy. Also, in the Garden State, the Senate President (D) Stephen Sweeney lost to Edward Durr, a furniture store truck driver who spend $153.00 in his victory. Is New Jersey turning Red? Also, on Long Island, former police captain Eric Adams, a moderate Democrat was elected mayor of New York, Democrat Socialist, India Walton was defeated by a write-in Mayor Byron Brown in a landslide after defeating him in the primary. Also, another progressive lost in Seattle and in Minneapolis the defund the police movement was shot down by a wide margin. Was does the 2021 elections mean for next year's Congressional midterms? On other news Hillary Clinton is implicated in the Durham Probe, Joe is offering payouts to illegal aliens, and a infrastructure bill passes the House. How will this effect next year's elections?
