Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the defeated so called "Voter Rights" bill as Democrat Senators Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema say No! Sinema has been censured by the Democrat Party of Arizona for standing up for her beliefs. This bill would nationalize elections, ban voter ID, require unsolicited mail in ballots, and allow ballot harvesting. Republicans have cited voter integrity and States' Rights in their opposition to the proposed sweeping legislation. Democrats have likened the bill to the civil rights era of the 1950's and 60's, and have deemed all that oppose them as Jim Crow racists. Where do you stand on the legislation? Also, violent crime is exploding in America. Homicides, assault and battery, smash and grab robberies, and attack on law enforcement officers are at a shocking all time high. The defunded police forces, the release of repeat violent offenders, and the relaxing of criminal legislation is the main culprit. Republicans blame Democrat law makers for the problem while Democrats target easy gun access. Americans rate violent crime very high on their list of concerns. How will this issue shape the midterm elections? Also, Covid continues to ravish the country. Joe Biden continues to blame the unvaccinated and mask resistors, while Republicans point out Biden and Kamala Harris' lack of leadership. Who is to blame for covid? Finally, Russian troops continue to mass on Ukraine's for an apparent invasion. Last week, Joe Biden's words that he wouldn't interfere if Vladimir Putin only had a minor incursion into Ukraine shocked the World and put into question his ability to grasp international events. Russia is emphatically opposed to any attempt by Ukraine to join NATO. Has the United States lost it's universal respect? Please join the discussion at 10:00 AM. The call-in number is 347-308-8933.
