Good morning, today on The Meter we will discuss Day 11of Russia's war on Ukraine. Kiev, the capital remains in Ukrainian hands as a 40 mile long Russian convoy is still approaching as the defenders continue to hold. Russian forces are reportedly bombing corridors preventing civilians from fleeing as non-military casualties mount amidst international protest. 1.5 million refugees have already fled the country. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is asking for more support from NATO which includes a NO-FLY zone over Ukrainian air space where NATO voted no this week on any direct involvement. Some analysts say the risk of a wider conflict remains. The US government is considering banning also Russian oil imports. How should the United States deal with Putin's war? Back at home, Joe Biden gave his first State of the Union Address where most of the focus was on Ukraine. Biden omitted mentioning China, Afghanistan, Iran, inflation, crime, or even January 6th. Biden did however mention American businesses by promising to raise their taxes under the Democrat Party narrative of "pay your fair share" and at the same time forcing them to charge less for their good and services. Biden also surprised his fellow Democrats by pledging to fund the police as Republicans applauded while Democrats clapped with forced motion. Is the Biden administration in total separation from the American public. Please join the discussion at 10:00 AM. The call-in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential!
