Good morning! Today, on The Meter, we will cover the 80th anniversary of the Normandy invasion and the festivities, which included a speech by Joe Biden on Omaha Beach. Biden spoke of the landings, the soldiers who fought there, and the evil dictator of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, and many of those who attended claims a comparison was made to his 2024 opponent, Donald Trump. Biden's speech also mentioned the current war in Eastern Europe between Russia and Ukraine and that more support is on the way for Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was also present. Is the Trump-Hitler comparison and additional money for Ukraine winners for Biden? Also, Hunter Biden's trial is now underway as the prosecution wrapped up their case this week while step mom Jill Biden flew back and forth across the Atlantic to attend. Hunter's ex-wife testified, as did the gun store owner, who processed the questionnaire where Hunter said "no" on being convicted of drug possession. Most say the case is a slam dunk, but few are convinced the verdict will be unanimous. Joe Biden is on record that he won't pardon his son. How will this trial affect the 2024 election? Also, Donald Trump has been raking in the money since his conviction. $400 million has been raised so far with no end in sight. The fundraising included an event in Deep Blue California as $30 million entered the campaign in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Are blue states now in play for Donald Trump?
